This Privacy Policy discloses the privacy practices for Sterling Electric, Inc.’s (“Sterling”, “our” or “we”) website located at www.sterlingelectric.com. Sterling is committed to protecting your privacy online. The following describes the information we collect from you the “User” or “End User” and how that information is used.

Please read this Privacy Policy carefully for in accessing or using Sterling’s website, you acknowledge that you have read, understood and agree to be bound to these provisions and the Terms of Use of our website which are incorporated herein by reference. Non-personally Identifiable Information. Non-personally identifiable information is information that does not identify a specific End User. This information may include a Uniform Resource Locator (URL) of web sites you have visited and the type of browser you are using and your Internet Protocol (IP) address. This and related information may automatically be collected by Sterling and/or an authorized Third Party Service Provider when you visit our website. This occurs through electronic identifiers including but not limited to “cookies” and “web beacons”. Non-personally identifiable information is used by us to regulate and manage the functionality of our website and to comply with applicable laws. This information may be shared with Third Party Service Providers.

Uses. We use your PII to administer and manage our website, to provide product and service information to you, to improve our operation, to analyze website use and to enhance services, to name a few. We may also use PII to troubleshoot, resolve disputes, accomplish administrative tasks, to contact you, to enforce our agreements with you, to comply with applicable laws and to cooperate with law enforcement agencies and activities. Nonetheless, such information would subject the successor company to this Privacy Policy.

Sterling expressly reserves the right to disclose your PII as required by law and when we believe that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights and/or to comply with an administrative or judicial proceeding, court orders or directives having the the legal effect thereof and other legal process served upon Sterling or its website, to enforce or compel compliance with this Privacy Policy or our Terms of Use or any other agreements directly or indirectly bearing upon the same, or to protect the property, rights and privileges of Sterling, its Users and others.

We may use it by authorization. You may request or authorize the use of your PII other than as described above.

C. RELEASE OF NON-PERSONALLY IDENTIFIABLE INFORMATION.(“NPII”)

Sterling may disclose or share non-personally identifiable information (NPII) with partners, affiliates and advertisers. Although not currently employed, Sterling may use third party service providers to track and analyze non-personally identifiable information including usage and volume statistical information from our Users to manage and administer Sterling’s website..

D. UPDATING AND CORRECTING INFORMATION.

Sterling acknowledges that it is appropriate for you to have the ability to access and edit your PII when changes occur. In such event you are encouraged to promptly update your PII if and when it changes. Generally you may delete or remove most portions of your information however since Sterling tracks certain past transactions, information associated with past transactions cannot be deleted. Further, if your information has already been electronically stored or archived by us, such information will not be subject to modification or deletion.

E. USER CHOICES ON COLLECTION AND USE OF INFORMATION.

When you purchase our products or services, we will send you information regarding your account activity and purchases as well as updates about our products and, if any, about promotional offers. You cannot opt-out of these emails or those related to your User account, to your requests or inquiries and to your purchases of products or services. However, if Sterling were to employ promotional emails advertising its products and services including sales offers, you may elect to opt-out from receiving such emails.

F. SECURITY OF INFORMATION.

Sterling exercises the utmost care in protecting the security of your PII. We use pass codes, email addresses and other means to secure your PII. Nonetheless, because data is transmitted over the internet and other wireless networks, it is impossible to make our system, or for that matter any like system, 100% secure. Even though commercially reasonable security measures are utilized to protect data, we cannot guarantee the security of any information transmitted to or from our website and are not responsible for the actions of any third parties who may acquire or receive such information.

G. DATA TRACKING.

Cookies are small text files stored on a User’s computer for record-keeping purposes which contains information about the User. Cookies are used to signal who you are and to track a User’s interests in order to provide the best possible service to the User. It permits us to collect NPII from you to make your use of our website more friendly. Any websites that may be accessible through our website have their own privacy policies and data collection, disclosure and use practices. Linking with such other websites will require your to review and comply with the policies and practices and terms of use of such third parties.

I. OTHER PRIVACY ISSUES.

Children. Minors under age 18 may not use our website. Our website is designed for businesses and those employed by businesses. We do not knowingly collect PII from minors under age 18 nor do we sell product to such persons.

Privacy Rights in other states. Other states may have different and varying privacy laws. It is our intent to comply and to make every effort to comply with the laws of these other states. Most of these laws relate to the transmission of your PII to third parties for marketing and advertising purposes which Sterling does do. Nonetheless, if you believe that your state’s privacy laws require additional disclosures related to your PII, kindly advise us specifying those portions of your state's law which vary from our privacy policy and require additional disclosures. Kindly allow 30 days for our response.

J. CHANGES TO PRIVACY POLICY.

Sterling reserves the right to change this Privacy Policy at any time. If we change this privacy policy, we will post those changes in any commercially reasonable fashion including but not limited to posting such changes to this privacy statement, our home page and any other places we deem appropriate so that you are apprised of the information we collect, how we use it and under what circumstances it is disclosed, if at all.
